Kosmische: a hardware-style panel with a one-octave keyboard, scene display, mixer faders and tone sliders.

What it does

Play it by changing it

01

Five scenes, five grooves

Each scene is a whole groove with its own drums, bass, sequence, fill and tempo. Switch scenes mid-song and it lands on the next bar.

Five scenes, one lane each, with a row of beats along it. The beats sit closest in Fast Motor at 148 BPM and furthest apart in Cosmic Drift at 96 BPM, because each scene has its own tempo along with its own drums, bass and sequence.Autobahn122 BPMNight drive112 BPMIndustrial march102 BPMCosmic drift96 BPMFast motor148 BPMeach scene, its own groove and tempo
02

Changes wait for the bar

Tap energy, a fill or a break anywhere in the bar and it plays on the next one, always in time. An orange outline shows what is waiting.

The energy buttons, I Skeleton to IV Escape, with fill and break beside them.
03

Key and chain

Tap a note for the key. Chain up to eight chords, each a degree and a length in bars, and the bass and sequence follow them.

A one-octave keyboard, the mode buttons and the eight-step chord chain.
04

Rework the sequence

Five mutations turn the sequence over, thin it or shift it along the scale. Dice rolls a new set and reset clears it.

The slots, the sequence character buttons and the five mutate buttons with dice and reset.
