Tinkerhaus

About

From the virtual garage of an itinerant tinkerer come the Tinkerhaus apps and plugins: music making machines for humans making music.

Each one starts with a kernel of an idea and grows from there. They have a few things in common: a similar UI that makes them easy enough to learn and play, a focus on deep and rich sound design, and a visual idea that sparks a bit of wonder (in me, at least). I make them primarily for myself… but maybe you'll like them too.

I've made them free to play on the web, so anyone can have a go. If you want them in your workflow, you can buy the apps or plugins (reasonably priced, I promise). You can pick them up for a quick play or spend hours tweaking the hell out of them.

I take inspiration from loads of brilliant makers of hardware and software, far too many to name. Standing on the shoulders of giants, and all that. I hope others will find something inspiring in my work...

Tinkerhaus is Thom Cummings, building music apps on the south coast of the UK.

p.s. Small disclaimer: since I use LLMs for development - something that's at times both incredible and incredibly frustrating - I'm committing 2% of profits from my business to causes that fight climate disaster and capitalist inequality, and that support open source developers.
