wave

Each row of the terrain, west to east, is one wave.Morph moves through the rows, north to south.Intensity softens harsh terrain. Lower is gentler. The terrain card shows where you are and how high it goes.Download wavetable saves the 32 waves as a .wav file.Drag the terrain to turn it. Reset 3d view puts it back.

contour

The filter and the envelope, as graphs with handles. On the filter graph, drag sideways for cutoff, up and down for resonance. The shading behind it is the sound playing now.The envelope shapes each note: drag for attack, decay, sustain and release.A dashed line shows where a mod has moved the filter.Double-tap a graph to reset it.

mod

Mods move other controls by themselves. The first pill picks the shape, or the mod wheel or velocity. The → pill picks what it moves.Sync locks the rate to the sequencer's tempo.Rate is how fast it moves.Depth is how far. Below 0 it moves the other way.+ add a mod adds a row, up to 6. ✕ takes one away.Randomise sends every mod somewhere new.Dots on the tabs and sliders show what the mods are moving.

seq

A generative sequencer. Play starts it (space).Pattern picks how it walks the scale. The terrain pattern plays the terrain, one column per step, west to east.Arp plays several points down each column instead of one note.Length sets how long each step lasts.Root and scale pick the notes, for the A–L keys too.Probability is the chance that each step plays.Lowest oct and highest oct set the range.

fx

Effects, in the order the sound goes through them.Drive saturates the whole synth.Squash compresses it.The phaser sweeps notches through the sound. The resonator rings at the pitch of each note.Structure takes it from string to bell. The tape delay repeats left and right, with wow and flutter. The reverb comes last. Shimmer feeds its tail back an octave up.A mix or send at 0 is off.
